Make Better Fire Doors. Cuts time. Cuts cost. The introduction of pre-tested door blanks by Halspan brought a product and fabrication methods that lower the cost base for making fire doors. Plus the added guarantee of high standard fire doors where the integrity is already built-in.
Section illustrates Halspan's 3-layer construction, with veneered or laminated external surface.
Halspan door blanks are ready to use and suitable for production with standard woodworking tools and machinery. The density and surface finish of Halspan permits the construction of doors without the need for perimeter framing or the addition of ply or MDF faces.
The fine, hard surface requires minimal preparation when veneering, laminating or painting, solving the problems found with other types of board. Grin-through and ripple effect are also eliminated.
A continuing development programme results in production economies and widened design capability. For example, an extensive choice in aperture designs and an FD30 panelled style door.
This opens the way to new business opportunities for fabricators. With Halspan, they are now better able to meet increasing demands from architects, designers and specifiers for their projects, such as corridors in offices, hospitals, schools and hotels, and include both style and function to fire doors.
This section continues with an outline specification for architects, designers and specifiers.
