Chain of Custody Policy Statement
The management and staff are committed to purchasing certified timber in preference to noncertified timber, where it is viable to do so. The company will not purchase timber products where there is reason to believe their production has involved:

Illegal logging or the trade in illegal wood or forest products.

Violation of traditional and human rights in forestry operations.

Destruction of high conservation values in forestry operations.

Significant conversion of forests to plantations or non-forest use.

Introduction of genetically modified organisms in forestry operations.

Violation of any of the ILO Core Conventions, as defined in the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, 1998.

Purchasing timber from countries of conflict.
The company will comply with all UK legal requirements including Health & Safety and UK Timber regulations (UKTR).
Upon request, the Company will seek relevant information from its Suppliers on species and Country of harvest of its materials and provide this to Interested Parties.
Responsible employees are trained and assessed for competency. All records associated with this policy will be held for a minimum of five (5) years. This system is verified by an independent certification body annually.

‘The purchase, storage, sales, and distribution of door blanks (fire and non-fire related) including outsourcing of storage and distribution’
