Health & Safety Policy Statement

It is our policy to:
 

  • Provide adequate control of health and safety risks arising from our work activities.

  • Consult with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety.

  • Provide information, instruction, and supervision for employees.

  • Ensure all employees are competent and to give them adequate training.

  • Prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health.

  • Maintain safe and healthy working conditions.

  • Review and revise this policy as necessary at regular intervals.


Likewise, Halspan Limited regards the provision of a safe and healthy working environment as a core business objective that can only be effectively achieved by the co-operation between all persons directly and indirectly employed.
 

We will comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act and associated health and safety legislation and codes of practice as well as to employ industry best practise and to ensure companies with whom we contract or sub-contract with have a similar high standard.
 

In line with our core objective for health and Halspan Limited will ensure so far as is reasonably practicable, that provisions are made for the maintenance of equipment and implementation of systems of work that are safe and without risks to health. In addition to the maintenance of our working environments for persons employed which are safe, without known risks to health and adequate with regard to facilities and arrangements for their welfare at work.
 

Our Directors will carry out this policy by ensuring the provision of adequate safety and job training for Employees with particular attention to special safety training where appropriate. The same persons will also instigate requirements for the undertaking risk assessments of all activities and ensure that safe systems of work and work environment is maintained.
 

Similarly, all persons working directly or indirectly on behalf of Halspan Limited are required to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work and to report any hazard which may lead to injury or damage, which they cannot themselves control.
 

This policy is to be subject as a minimum to annual review for necessary amendment in order to ensure its continuing effectiveness or as maybe required by changes in any work practices, processes, or compliance requirement.
