Human Rights Policy

Halspan Limited remains committed to tackling discrimination and to promoting understanding and respect for cultural differences and diversity. The Directors remain committed to promoting best practice in human rights in Company policies, working procedures and business practise. Whilst endeavouring to ensure that the same are guided by respect for employee human rights and to seek to promote best practise as an employer.
 

Employee Relations
 

Recognition is given to the fact that the quality of our business activities provided, rely on the commitment given by employees of the company and that a duty exists to provide safe systems of work, to take reasonable care and not to expose employees to unreasonable risks. As a Company, we will continue to both respect and promote best practise in human rights.
 

In terms of relationship with our employees:
 

  • We value all of our employees for their contribution to the business without regard to position or status within Halspan.

  • We shall strive to maintain a work environment in which the personal dignity of the individual employee is fully respected by other employees, contractors and other persons having dealings with the Company.

  • We will again endeavour to ensure that all our employees carry out their work duties in a manner that promotes human dignity and respect and that is free from unjustifiable discrimination and harassment.

  • Employees at all levels can be assured that the Company will objectively review any concerns and complaints and that the Directors will positively welcome ideas that will help to improve best practise in human rights.
     

Business Partners, Contractors, Service Providers, and Suppliers
 

We will strive to ensure that we select business Partners who take practical measure to comply with human right laws. contractors, service providers, suppliers and any other parties retained by Halspan are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with the company’s policies and commitment to human rights and ethical conduct.
 

Community Relations and Public Responsibilities
 

Recognition is made within Halspan of our responsibilities to our customers and the wider communities in which we undertake our business activities, including the general public as a whole. With this in mind we:
 

  • Will aim to build and strengthen our diversity policies, procedures and practices as an integral part of our human rights policy.

  • We expect all of our employees to act accordingly to the highest standards of integrity, in their dealings with all persons who they may come into contact with during the undertaking of their employment duties.
