As Software Engineer at Halspan, Jacob plays a crucial role in maintaining and continuously enhancing Halspan's suite of software systems including the web and mobile applications.  This involves designing and building new application features as well as behind the scenes improvements that help ensure everything is running smoothly and securely.

Over the course of his career, Jacob has worked across a broad range of technical domains. From developing open-source business solutions to supporting people in learning new skills through virtual reality and exploring the possibilities of AI, he has always sought out challenges that push the boundaries of what software can do. 

What drew Jacob to Halspan is knowing that the work he does has a positive impact and is contributing to a safer world. Away from work, Jacob has a curiosity for the world and enjoys travelling and regularly quizzing. He has also been learning a lot about DIY as he's busy renovating his home.
