Founding Halspan in 1999, John revolutionised the world of timber door manufacture, then drove the growth of our market-leading business worldwide. He now leads the Board, overseeing business strategy and setting high governance standards. John plays a pivotal role in fostering the effectiveness of the Board and individual Directors, both inside and outside the Boardroom, always willing to offer wise counsel when called for. 

John has a passion for sailing, all things horses and of course fine wine. He supports his wife Ruth’s love of Carriage Driving, traveling across the UK to compete in various events, winning several national titles with their horse Storm, while training their new horse Brock for future stardom.
