We are delighted to announce the release of the latest document in the Prima 60 Field of Application suite of certification reports.
Crafted from Halspan’s unique 3-layer particle board, Prima 60 internal fire door blanks stand out for their exceptional quality, strength, and overall performance. These blanks are engineered to meet the highest standards through a complex combination of chemical and engineering processes.
The revised Prima 60 Field of Application is founded on over 100 fire tests and provides an unrivalled fire door scope of any certification document for 60-minute timber doors.
The new Prima 60 Part 3 Field of Application, authored by Warringtonfire, replaces our
Prima 60 Panelled Chilt/A01015 revision E FoA. This exciting new extension to our market leading certification offers the same panelled door designs as the old panelled report, plus many added extras such as:
Increased leaf sizes
More frame types
Bond up door options
Additional bonded panels
Additional grooving options
More facing options
Increased glazing scope
Sidelights and fanlights
Huge hardware scope including access control options
This new report will offer greater design flexibility than ever before whilst maintaining the rock solid integrity of our classic Halspan Prima 60 door cores.
In addition, the revision significantly extends the scope of our Halspan® Verified Fire Door Systems.
A first for our industry, the Halspan® Verified quality assurance scheme covers the entire door supply chain – from production, testing and specification to the fabrication, installation, inspection and ongoing maintenance of both standard and custom fire doors (FD) and non-fire rated (NFR) doors.
Over the last few years there has been an increased spotlight on the certification of fire resisting doorsets. In response, Halspan have been busy testing the most onerous design details and hardware components. These tests have now been thoroughly integrated by product assessors from a leading UK approved body to produce the new suite of Prima 60 certification documents.
The Prima 60 FOA suite includes:
Part 1 Timber Based Door Frames
Part 2 Steel Frames
Part 3 Bond up designs (panels, grooves etc)
Part 4 PVC products (edge guards, fully encapsulated doors etc). Coming Soon
Part 5 Prima Plus 60 (no added formaldehyde core).
