Discover Halspan's outcomes from FSE 24. Learn how we're driving fire safety standards forward with collaboration and cutting-edge technology.

Halspan, a global market leader in fire safety solutions, proudly exhibited at the recent industry-leading Fire Safety Event (FSE) 2024 at the NEC in Birmingham at the beginning of May.

For over 25 years we have pioneered fire door safety, and our team were proud to showcase our compliant fire door systems and fire asset management services at the FSE.

Here’s a quick list of our top FSE 24 takeaways, highlighting what we consider the hottest topics, key issues, as well as trends and developments in the fire safety industry.

Stronger Together

The Fire Safety Event reunites thousands of people involved in the fire safety industry. Throughout the three-day event, we welcomed numerous visitors to our stand and connected with like-minded professionals.

According to Technical Director Rhod Williams, FSE 24 provided invaluable networking opportunities for those in the industry. The event highlighted that collaboration and discussion are essential for progress in fire safety.

Rhod says: “It was great to be back in the throng of a major UK exhibition. Our market segment is busy and positively buoyant, if the high attendance levels, quality of exhibitors, and engaged discussions are anything to go on! We had numerous conversations all driven by a desire to work collaboratively to drive our sector forward to uphold our global standing for fire safety standards.”

“In just three quick days, we were able to demonstrate years’ worth of development and provide demos and overviews of products that will help anyone in the industry play their role in protecting buildings and ultimately saving lives. We must keep talking!”

Digitising Compliance

The keen interest shown by attendees in Halspan Inspection Services and Halspan Tracker. our new digital asset management app, demonstrates the growing demand for digital fire safety solutions – that’s according to Asset & Inspection Manager David Litherland, a newer team member making his FSE debut.

David Litherland says: “A recurring conversation with attendees centred on the ever-changing regulatory ecosystem in which we all operate and the pressing need to adhere to the latest standards.”

“Having demonstrated our solutions, it has reinforced Halspan Tracker’s role as a comprehensive compliance tool with the power to simplify asset management and meet regulatory requirements.

“Some attendees called it a one-stop-shop which is a great way to think about Tracker – it should be the first port of call for any ‘responsible person’. What stand visitors were most impressed with was its ease of use and the fact it is a live system, so always up to date.”

“FSE has proven just how relevant our products and services are for building managers and owners striving to maintain compliance with BS 9999 & BS 8644 regulations.”

Industry Validation

Reflecting on the bustling activity at the Halspan stand, Marketing & Communications Manager Stuart McCusker feels more aware of the sense of responsibility UK fire safety professionals carry and of the reassurance businesses like Halspan can provide.

Stuart says: “The constant stream of visitors, comprising both current clients and prospective customers, has underscored the absolute necessity of Halspan’s compliant systems and asset management services.

“This affirms our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the sector, signalling a promising future for our innovative solutions. We’re following up with those in need of fire safety solutions as well as talking with potential partners and collaborators who share our mission to champion progress in the UK industry.”
